Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios has been provisionally suspended after his anti-doping test results came back positive for cocaine.
Kyrgios was tested on June 22 during the tournament in Mallorca, and the results showed that the test was positive for a metabolite of cocaine, the BBC reported.
Kyrgios has been provisionally suspended since August 4th.
The International Tennis Integrity Unit said the 31-year-old tennis player has the right to appeal, but so far he has not done so.
In a post on Instagram, Kyrgios said he made a big mistake and takes full responsibility.
He is now unable to play or attend Grand Slam tournaments, nor tournaments organized by the ATP and WTA.
Kyrgios has only played four matches this season, and has had problems with knee and wrist injuries in recent years.
He last played at Wimbledon in doubles with Kazakhstan's Alexander Bublik and they lost in the first round.
