He was part of the championship team of Budućnosti at the beginning of the new millennium, he also wore the jersey of Montenegro, and now he is returning to the country - Ivica Jevtić is the new coach of our volleyball team.
The Volleyball Federation of Montenegro announced that its Board of Directors appointed Jevtic for a period of four years (3+1), and that the 41-year-old from Požarev is the eighth coach of our volleyball players since the restoration of independence.
Jevtić was in the professional staff of Montenegrin expert Igor Kolaković (he also worked with him as a player in Budućnost) in the Serbian national team (2022-24), and he was also the coach of the country's under-22 volleyball team.
"In his playing career, he also played for Mladi Radnik (Serbia), Hypo Tirol (Austria), Mers (Germany), Qatar SC (Qatar) and Pisgaman (Iran). The new selector of our national team is also the coach of Red Star, with whom he in the previous season won the title of champion of Serbia, and this season the trophy of the Supercup of Serbia," added the OSCG.
He will succeed Ivan Joksimović on the bench of Cnra Gora, with whom OSCG did not extend his contract after a weak start in the Eurovolley qualifiers and a break from Norway and the Czech Republic.
A little earlier today, the OSCG also appointed Jov Caković as the coach of our women's national team.
