The women's pioneer volleyball team of Montenegro traveled to Stara Pazova, where they will prepare for the first round of Zonal Qualifications for the U16 European Championship from January 15 to 19 in Sofia.
Ksenija Božović, the director of the women's national team of the Slovak Republic, saw off our youngest volleyball players and their professional staff at the airport this morning and wished them successful preparations.
Our pioneers will prepare until January 14, when they will travel to Bulgaria, and the selections of Turkey, Serbia, Greece and Romania, as well as the host selection, will also participate in the tournament.
Nikola Radomirović and Andrea Laković will assist the selector Petr Koković in his work.
"I am most happy that all the players have responded and that they are all healthy. It is the first time that our preparations are outside of Montenegro. I am happy that it will be in Stara Pazova, because the new coach Jovo Caković will also be there. with his support and preparation work, we will rise to a higher level," said coach Koković.
The first round of qualifications is played within the zonal associations, and the winner of the tournament will go directly to the European Championship, while the remaining five national teams will play in the second round of qualifications, which is planned for the period from April 24 to 27. Through the second round, a total of 11 selections will qualify for the European Championship - each of the two first-placed teams from five groups, as well as the best third-placed national team.
The European Championship for female pioneers, in the competition of volleyball players up to 16 years old (born in 2010 and younger), will be held from July 2 to 13 in Tirana and Pristina, with the participation of the 16 best selections from the Old Continent.
