After the winter break, Montenegrin volleyball internationals continued their championship matches in their clubs.
Turšad and Marko Bojić have suffered three consecutive losses in the ongoing Turkish Efeler League.
Despite the defeats, Bojić played two excellent games. In the 3:0 defeat to Spor Toto, Bojić scored 14 points. Against Belediye, after a great fight in five sets, 3:2, he won 18 points. In the 3:0 defeat to Galatasaray, also without a set won, Bojić played in two sets and achieved a performance of four points.
In the continuation of the MEVZA League, Đorđe Jovović and Nikola Đurović played a match within the 3rd tournament.
Mladost was defeated by Zadruga in a close match that ended after five sets, 3:2. Jovović excelled with 17 points, but it was not enough for the triumph. Middle blocker Nikola Đurović played in the third set.
Coach Marko Joksimović continued his series of matches with the Al Sadd team in Qatar, where he played four matches – achieving three losses and one win.
Joksimović and his team recorded their first victory of the season against Al Shamal with a score of 3:1. In that match, the Montenegrin volleyball player scored three points. Against Al Rayyan, the second-placed team in the standings, they managed to win one set, but were defeated 3:1. Joksimović played the entire match, but without scoring any points. In the 3:0 defeat to Al Gharfa, he scored one point, while in the duel with the Al Ahila team, which celebrated 3:0, he achieved an effect of two points.
Czech team Usti, played for by Blažo Milić, continued its losing streak. In the 18th round, Usti was defeated by České Budějovice with a score of 3:0, and Milić scored two points.
Coach Balša Radulović opened the season in Iran with a victory. His Sepahan team won away against Caspian with a score of 3:2.
Montenegrin women opened 2025 in good rhythm.
When it comes to Montenegrin volleyball players, Danijela Džaković continued her great performances in Azerbaijan, after a mini break.
Džaković was the best player of the game with 17 points, leading her team to a convincing victory. Mili Aviasia Akademiasi achieved a maximum triumph over UNEC with a score of 3:0 in the Azerbaijan Championship.
Turkish Ted Kolejliler, for which our proofreader Nikoleta Perović plays, started the second part of the season with a loss. Despite the loss, Perović was in double figures with 13 points. Ted Kolejliler lost to Bolu BLD Spora with a score of 3:1.
Simona Petranović and Croatia's Mladost failed to achieve a victory at home in the 5th round of the Champions League. The Croatian team was defeated by the current champion of Italy's Coneljan, with a score of 3:0. The Montenegrin national team recorded seven points in this match. In Group A of the CEV Champions League, Mladost is still without a win.
Middle blocker Saška Đurović had a mediocre performance at the opening of the second part of the season with the Sporting team in Portugal. Sporting recorded a maximum victory against Leikoes, with the contribution of our Đurović with 10 points won. And in the loss to Benfica 3:1. Đurović played solidly and scored seven points. With this victory, Benfica took the lead in the standings with 27 points, while Sporting has a point less.
The volleyball team of French Bordeaux, for which Katarina Budrak plays, ended last year with a defeat in a duel with Chamalieres 3:1, and started the second part of the season with a victory. Bordeaux celebrated at home against Quimper with a score of 3:1. Our middle blocker was excellent with 11 points won.
Coach Marija Šušić and her Sen Benedek have recorded two losses in 2025. In the first game, they were defeated by Uta with a score of 3:0, while Marija scored three points. In the loss to Fatum (25:21, 25:22, 25:17), Šušić was somewhat more efficient with six points won in the Hungarian championship.
