Completed Montenegrin Cup finals: Budva or Buducnost, Herceg Novi or Luka Bar

The leading teams of the EPCG Super League will play for the Montenegrin Cup trophy on March 30. Budva and Buducnost also celebrated without dropping a set in the second legs of the semifinals in their duels with Galeb and Jedinstvo, respectively.

The Podgorica team enjoyed themselves on the court of the Mtel "Morača" hall and confidently celebrated in the Cup derby with the Jedinstvo team 3:0 (25:20, 25:18, 25:17).

The guests put up a slightly stronger resistance than in Bijelo Polje to their rival, who had Luka Lojić and Aleksa Nikolić in excellent form on their side of the net – the corrector for Buducnost scored 18 points, the young Nikolić 14, while the only double-digit scorer in the ranks of Jedinstvo was Milan Rovčanin with 11.

Budućnost's rival will be Budva, which with a young team was safe against an even younger rival, debutant Galeb, also 3:0 (25:14, 25:20, 25:13). Budva celebrated in Bar within the hour of the game and secured another final, a chance for the second trophy in the season they opened by winning the Super Cup.

Coach Bošković gave almost all players a chance, and everyone who played scored at least a point – Vuk Stanojević with 14 and Filip Milosavljević with 13 points were in double figures, while Ognjen Marstijepović was the best in the Galeb ranks with 13 points.

The men's Cup final, as in previous seasons, will be played on the same day as the women's, and this season's is scheduled for the penultimate day of March.

And, when it comes to the ladies, there will be a repeat of last season's final - the volleyball players from Luka Bar and Herceg Novi will also play for the cup of the most popular competition this year.

Both teams justified their role as favorites and, with maximum wins in the second legs of the semifinals, scheduled another match for the trophy this season.

Luka Bar was convincing in Budva, winning against the debutant in the strongest tier of Montenegrin volleyball and the Cup final with a score of 3:0 (25:10, 25:15, 25:16) and scheduling a new clash with the defending champion.

Vladimir Milačić's team continued their great rhythm even after a short break, and Teodora Čavić was again the most enthusiastic with 12 points. Vitoria Ajeska was in double figures alongside Baranca with 10 points, while Dijana Vuković scored eight. For Budva, Viktorija Čoković was the most efficient with five points, while Elena Čolaković and Đina Lekić scored one point less.

Herceg Novi did not allow Albatros to threaten in the second leg. After losing a set in the city derby in the EPCG Super League, they were safe in the second leg of the semi-final with a score of 3:0 (25:20, 25:19, 25:13) and secured their place in the Cup final for the third season in a row.

For the defending champions, captain Ralitsa Vasileva was the most efficient with 13 points, Darija Čabonenko won one point less, and Geraldine Gonzalez had one of her best games since arriving in Herceg Novi – she finished the match with 11 points.

Herceg Novi and Luka Bar played for the trophy of the premier edition of the Montenegrin Super Cup at the beginning of the season, and in the championship they are the main favorites for the finale.
