The Montenegrin U18 men's volleyball team won second place at the MEVZA tournament in Zadar. Dejan Radić's team played a great tournament, but were defeated in the final by the team Brno from the Czech Republic with a score of 3:1 (22:25, 25:13, 25:19, 25:10).
The cup and silver medals were presented to our volleyball players by Nikola Kažić, president of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro.
The first set of the final was extremely uncertain and the best part of our team's game – the score was tied until the very end (20:20). Our guys managed to win key points and take the lead with 25:23. However, in the next three sets, the team from the Czech Republic managed to build a significant lead, which they maintained until the end, and celebrated with a final score of 3:1 and won first place in the tournament without defeat.
The most points scored by our team were scored by Vuk Stanojević – 14 and Luka Lojić – 13 points.
Our boys reached the final with a convincing victory over the team Ramat Aviv from Israel 3:0 (25:19, 25:23, 25:23). In the group stage, they achieved two victories – first they defeated Ribola Kaštela with a score of 3:0 (25:20, 25:18, 25:20), and then they triumphed against Trenčín from Slovakia with the same score (25:21, 27:25, 25:20). Their only defeat in the group was against the Hungarian Kecskemet 3:2 (19:25, 25:17, 18:25, 25:17, 17:15) in the match for first place in the group.
