The Montenegrin U16 women's volleyball team has traveled to Maribor, where they will participate in the second round of European Championship qualifications from April 25 to 27.
Coach Petar Koković has determined the final list of players who will compete for the last three qualifying matches.
Our youngest volleyball players will open the qualifications in Group A with a match against Slovakia, which is scheduled for Friday at 15 pm. A day later, at the same time, they will meet with the Romanian national team, while in the last round they will face the host team of Slovenia on Sunday at 17.30:XNUMX pm.
"After 12 days of preparation in Stara Pazova, with two control matches with the Serbian national team, we are satisfied with what we have done. We are traveling to Slovenia very motivated to show what we know and can do. There we have three very difficult matches ahead of us. The first match is against the Slovak national team and our thoughts are currently focused only on that match. We want to repeat the fighting spirit, discipline and attitude on the field from the past qualifiers, because that is exactly what brings results. We are not afraid of anyone and we want to play with everyone," said coach Koković.
The professional staff of the national team of coach Petar Koković consists of coaches Nikola Radomirović and Andrea Laković, fitness coach Jovan Ristić and statistician Ognjen Marković.
The two top teams from each of the five qualifying groups, as well as the best third-placed team, will qualify for the final tournament of the European Championship, which will be held from 2 to 13 July in Tirana and Pristina. A total of 16 of the best national teams from the Old Continent will participate in the championship.
