The Montenegrin women's pioneer volleyball team has learned the names of its opponents at the upcoming European Championship for women under 16, which will be held from July 2 to 13, 2025 in Tirana and Pristina.
Our youngest volleyball players will play in Group II in Pristina, and in addition to the host Kosovo, the team selected by coach Petar Koković will also play against the teams of Turkey, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Greece.
Our pioneers achieved a historic success last weekend in Maribor – qualifying for the European Championship in first place in Group A, as the only team from all five qualifying groups not to lose a single set. They are the first Montenegrin women's volleyball team to qualify for a major competition through the qualifiers.
A total of 16 national teams, divided into two groups, are participating in the championship. The semi-final matches and medal matches will be played in Tirana.
