Volleyball clubs Budva and Buducnost Volej will be Montenegro's representatives in the MEVZA league starting next season.

This will be the first participation of our clubs in this prestigious regional competition.

The MEVZA (Central European Volleyball Zonal Association) league is a competition in which clubs from Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary participate.

The Montenegrin representatives in the MEVZA league will be the men's team from Budva, while in the premiere edition of the Montenegrin representatives, both the volleyball players and the women's volleyball players from Buducnost Volej will compete.

"This is an important step towards strengthening regional cooperation and international affirmation of domestic clubs. There is a chance that, besides Budva and Buducnost, at least one other club will participate in the MEVZA league, but this will be defined in the coming period," said OSCG President Nikola Kažić.

MEVZA League Director Frane Žanić said he was pleased with the inclusion of Montenegrin teams in the competition.

"The presence of new teams will bring additional dynamics and quality to the league and enrich the entire competition," said Žanić.

President of OK Budva Balša Radunović emphasized that appearing in the MEVZA League is a great honor and privilege for the club.

"Budva's ambitions and goals do not only include participation, but also the desire to impose ourselves as an equal and competitive team in that competition," said Radunović.

The head of Buducnost, Miloš Mitrović, emphasized that participation in the MEVZA League is the result of a clear vision, a planned approach and long-term dedicated work.

"It is a great honor for our club to be among the teams in this prestigious regional competition," said Mitrović.
