The Montenegrin women's volleyball team was defeated last night in Podgorica by Spain (3:0) at the start of the Golden League.
Our national team failed to pull off a surprise, Spain justified its role as the favorite and recorded a victory.
"Congratulations to Spain on a well-deserved victory, at the moment they are a better team than us. We need to focus on our team and our game. We have to work hard and try to improve from game to game. This is a realistic situation. I wanted to show better resistance, more fight and maybe take a set. I think every point is big for us. I was hurt by the easy points and the first plays, which are important in volleyball, I mean in receiving the serve. It is not a shame to lose to a better team at this moment. I think this is a lesson for us. We will analyze the game, I hope that in the next match against Ukraine we will be better in some phases of the game and that we will show some things better," said coach Jovo Caković.
Montenegro will play against Ukraine tomorrow (18), in the continuation of the competition.
