In order to further develop sports and improve the conditions for training and competition for our athletes, a meeting was held today in the Capital City between the Deputy Mayor of the Capital City, Nađa Ljiljanić, the President of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, Nikola Kažić, and his associates. The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Federation of Montenegro, Ivan Bošković, as well as the directors of the national teams, Ksenija Božović and Ivan Ječmenica, and by the Secretary for Sports, Darko Nikčević, on behalf of the Capital City.

The topic of the meeting was to consider the possibility of granting the use of the volleyball court located within the open sports fields of the Sports and Recreation Center "Morača". The initiative aims to improve the conditions for playing volleyball, create a better environment for training and competitions, as well as further promote this sport among young people, writes Odbojka.me.

The participants of the meeting agreed that the Capital City, together with relevant sports institutions, should continue to actively contribute to the development of sports infrastructure and support sports federations in their programs and initiatives.

"The capital recognizes the importance of developing sports and creating quality conditions for the work of sports organizations and associations. The meeting with representatives of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro was extremely productive and I believe that, through joint cooperation, we will soon come to concrete solutions that will contribute to the further development of volleyball in Podgorica. Our goal is for every young person in the capital to have access to sports facilities and to recognize sports as an important means of education, healthy living and togetherness," said Ljiljanić.

The capital city will continue communication with the Volleyball Federation and the Secretariat for Sports in the coming days, in order to define the next steps and create the prerequisites for the successful implementation of this initiative.

The meeting also discussed the topic of improving volleyball infrastructure in the Capital, and in the coming period, a procedure will be initiated to find an adequate location, as a prerequisite for the construction of a volleyball training center.

The President of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, Nikola Kažić, pointed out that in addition to strategic plans for the future training center, an agreement was reached to renovate the existing outdoor volleyball court and make it available again to the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro and clubs from Podgorica.

"This decision will allow young athletes to have more space for training and affirmation, while at the same time reviving an important sports venue that has served the development of volleyball for years," concluded Kažić.
