Volleyball players make their debut in the Golden League, Jevtić: Romania and Latvia are currently stronger than us, but we will also see good things

The best Montenegrin volleyball players have traveled to Romania, where they will begin their first appearance in the CEV Golden League this weekend.

Coach Ivica Jevtić's team will, in addition to the hosts Romania, also face the Latvian team.

Montenegro also played two test matches against the Austrian national team during the preparation period.

"The guys were dedicated during the preparations, they tried to give their best in every training session. As for expectations for the first tournament, we have to be realistic and say that Romania and Latvia are currently stronger than us, but I am sure that we will see good things regarding our national team," said Jevtić.

Montenegro opens the Golden League on Friday, June 7, with a match against Romania at the Mioveni Sports Center, starting at 18.30:XNUMX PM local time. A day later, at the same time, the volleyball team will meet the Latvian national team.

Due to injuries, setter Milutin Pavićević and receiver Vukašin Cimbaljević will not be participating in the tournament.
