The Montenegrin women's U16 national team won the bronze medal at the Balkan Volleyball Championship held in Pljevlja.
Our volleyball players recorded victories against North Macedonia and Greece, while they were defeated by Bulgaria and Turkey.
The U16 Balkan Championship was held from June 19 to 23 in Pljevlja, organized by the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro and with the support of the Ministry of Sports, the Municipality of Pljevlja, the Coal Mine and the Pljevlja Health Center.
First place went to the Bulgarian team, which achieved all four victories, while second place went to the Turkish team. Third place and the bronze medal were won by our talented pioneers.
The Captain's Cup of the Bulgarian national team, the winners of the U16 Balkan Championship, was presented by Nikola Kažić, President of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro.

The gold medals were presented to the Bulgarian team by Jovana Tošić, President of the Pljevlja Municipal Assembly, and Ivan Bošković, Secretary General of the OSCG.

The plaque for winning second place was also presented to the Turkish team by Jovana Tošić, President of the Pljevlja Municipal Assembly, while Darko Gazdić, Vice President of the Pljevlja Municipality, and Ivan Ječmenica, Director of the OSCG Men's National Team, presented the silver medals.
The plaque for third place was also presented to our volleyball players by Darko Gazdić, while the bronze medals were presented by Jadranko Lončar, financial director of Rudnik Pljevlja, and Milica Sekulić, secretary of the Secretariat for Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Pljevlja.
The awards for the best individuals of the tournament were presented by Ksenija Božović, director of the women's selections of the OSCG.

The MVP of the U16 Balkan Women's Volleyball Championship is Joana Nancheva from Bulgaria, while the best technician was Ela Demirag from Turkey. The best setter of the tournament is Çagla Çaglayander, and the best serve receiver is Selis Turkyaşar, both from Turkey. The title of best middle blocker was won by Antonia Stanislavova from Bulgaria, while her teammate Magdalena Bogdanova was declared the best libero. The award for fair play player of the tournament went to Sara Striković from Montenegro.
In the last match of the tournament, the Montenegrin national team was defeated by the Turkish national team with a score of 3:1 (25:22, 25:17, 24:26, 25:21).
