The Montenegrin women's volleyball team made history last night and qualified for the European Championship for the first time.
Montenegro defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina (3:0) away last night, and are first in the table with seven points heading into the final round. Latvia is one point behind, against whom Jov Caković's team will play on Sunday (19) in Kolašin.
With the triumph over Bosnia and Herzegovina, our team secured a minimum place among the five best second-placed teams in the qualifiers, and will play against Latvia for first place in the Group D table.

"Congratulations to my players and coaching staff on a great, historic victory. It was a game of nerves, a game of patience, but in the end the result was what we wanted. I would like to greet all volleyball fans in Montenegro and invite them to come to Kolašin on Sunday at 19 pm, to celebrate together our departure to the European Championship," said coach Caković after the match.
The European Championship will be held next year in Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Turkey.
Turkey is defending the title.
