Montenegro celebrates Eurovolleyball in Kolašin

The ticket to Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Turkey is in your pocket, it's time for a well-deserved celebration.

The Montenegrin women's volleyball team will put an end to their historic qualifiers, during which they qualified for the European Championship for the first time in history, against Latvia in Kolašin.

The match, which will be played in the city in the north of our country tomorrow (Sunday) at 19 pm, will be an ideal opportunity for fans to greet Jovo Caković's girls after the great success they achieved a few days ago in Goražde with a victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Admission to the Sports Center will be free, and the match with Latvia will decide which team will travel to Eurovolley in first place.

"Although we have already done a lot of work, we are trying to remain as focused as possible and to crown our efforts and work during this summer with a victory in front of our audience," said Saška Đurović.

Latvia somehow remained a "debtor" after winning the first match in Jelgava 3:2.

"We expect a tough match, we know the Latvian team well, we played against them last year, but we didn't manage to win then. I believe that now is the time for a rematch," Saška is optimistic.

She also had a message for fans.

"I want to invite all the people to come and support us. Their support means a lot to us, let them be our seventh player and make this moment even more special."

Melisa Cenović, who returned to the national team after recovering from an injury, also wants a perfect end to the qualifications.

"First of all, I expect a good game, and we are going for a victory, which would bring us first place in the group. I believe we can fulfill all of that and I want to take the opportunity to invite all sports fans from Kolašin. We have fulfilled the dream of many generations by qualifying for the European Championship and I hope that we will round off these qualifications with another victory," emphasized Melisa.

Before the final round, 19 of the 24 spots at the European Championship have been filled - in addition to the four hosts mentioned at the beginning of the story, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine and Slovakia have also secured their place based on their performance at the previous Eurovolleyball.

In addition to Montenegro, the teams of Slovenia, Germany, Romania, Greece, Spain and Belgium have also qualified for the continental championship through the qualifications.
