The Buducnost volejaa volleyball team suffered a second defeat at the first MEVZA league tournament held in Podgorica.
In the last match of the tournament, Hapoel Kfar Saba won 3:1 (25:23, 24:26, 25:14, 25:19). The Israeli team was also defeated by Lemasos 3:1.
The first set was marked by a number of reversals, in which both teams played fiercely. Buducnost had the advantage on several occasions (13:11, 17:15), but the visitors managed to turn it around to 20:18. In an uncertain finale, with the score 23:23, Hapoel won two consecutive points and took a 1:0 lead in sets.
A great fight was seen in the second half. The Israelis had a two-point lead (18:16), but Buducnost managed to turn it around to 23:21, led by captain Mileva Magdelinić. Hapoel tied the game at 23:23, but the blue and whites managed to win the set with a score of 26:24 and tied the game at 1:1.
The third set belonged entirely to Hapoel. The Israeli team dominated from the start, gaining an early lead and without much trouble winning the set with a score of 25:14.
The start of the fourth set brought a mini series for Buducnost (4:0), but Hapoel quickly tied it at 7:7, and then turned it around to 13:11. The home team managed to reach the minus (18:18), but Hapoel broke the set with a series of points for 25:19 and the final 3:1.
Captain Mileva Magdelinić was the most efficient player for Buducnost with 16 points. Dušanka Petrović also scored in double figures with 10, while Lana Rakočević scored 9, and Diana Crnojački and Sofija Duletić each scored 8 points.
The next matches in the MEVZA league of the Buducnost volleyball team will be played from December 16th to 18th, when they will meet the teams of Mladost, Dinamo and Maribor.
