Budva volleyball players achieved their second victory in the MEVZA league. After defeating Maribor in the first round, coach Miljan Bošković's team also celebrated against MAV Elora with a score of 3:1 (25:22, 25:22, 21:25, 25:17) in the second round of the first tournament.
The match started in favor of the visiting team, who led by four points (6:2). However, the team from Budva quickly found the right rhythm, tied nine points in a row and turned the score around to 11:6. The Hungarian team managed to break the streak, but not to turn the score around, which the team from Budva used to take the lead in sets – 25:22. In the second half, Budva controlled the game and the score from the start. The guests tried to catch up, but Bošković's men maintained a stable lead and deservedly won the second set, also with a score of 25:22. The current champion of Hungary took advantage of the home team's decline in the third set, who reduced the score in sets to 2:1 (25:21). However, the team from Budva quickly returned to their rhythm – in the fourth set they took a 21:14 lead and safely brought the match to an end, in which they celebrated with a maximum eight-point difference (25:17).
The most efficient player in Budva's ranks was Vukašin Cimbaljević with 23 points, Lazar Dodić added 13, while Vuk Stanojević scored 11 points.
The last match of the first tournament will be played by Budva on Wednesday at 18 pm, when they will meet with the Budućnost team, which will play against Maribor in Podgorica in the second round of the tournament, at the Mediterranean Sports Center in Budva.
