Budva volleyball players have traveled to Luxembourg, where they will face Strussen in the first round of the CEV Challenge Cup on Wednesday, November 19, at 7:30 p.m. Seven days after a dramatic 3:2 home win, Budva faces a new challenge and a fight to reach the round of 32.
Ahead of tomorrow's match, Matija Ćinćur emphasizes that his team must be fully concentrated from the first point.
"On Wednesday, we have a demanding away game in Luxembourg, both because of the opponent and the journey there. There are no calculations for progressing, we need a win and I hope we achieve it. The most important thing is to approach this match with maximum seriousness, to be focused and motivated from the start and I have no doubt about the final outcome."
Luka Babić and his teammates are in a better position after their triumph in the first leg, as any victory in the second leg would take them to the next stage of the competition.
"We have a very demanding away game on Wednesday against the team from Luxembourg. We won the first game in Budva 3:2, but we know that we have an even harder job ahead of us now. Their team is excellent, made up of quality players and they will certainly have great motivation on their home field. However, I expect a better game than in Budva – I believe that we will show our true colors and that we will enter the match with good energy. I have no doubt about a good result and I hope that we will qualify for the second round, which would be a great success for us."
Budva must win at least two sets to secure the golden set to advance to the second round, and a Strussen victory in four sets at most would eliminate our champion. The winner of the two-match match will face the Romanian Zalau in the round of 32.
