Volleyball players from Buducnost and Budva successfully started the semi-final series of the Montenegrin Cup, with victories in the first matches against Jedinstvo and Mornar, respectively.
Buducnost defeated Jedinstvo 3:1 (25:21, 25:18, 18:25, 25:18) in Podgorica and thus took a step towards the final. The Podgorica team was led to the triumph by the brilliant Aleksa Nikolić with 23 points, while the most efficient player in the ranks of the Bijelo Polje team was Aleksandar Minić with 21 points.
The home court was also preserved by the volleyball players of Budva, who also celebrated against Mornar 3:1 (25:12, 25:21, 18:25, 25:15) after four sets and began the defense of the cup. The most deserving of the triumph was Miro Miljanić with 20 points, while the most efficient player in the team from Bar was Stefan Radević with 12 points.
The second leg of the Montenegrin Cup semi-final will be played in Bijelo Polje and Bar, between December 19th and 21st. Jedinstvo and Mornar need wins in a maximum of four sets to win the golden set.
