Buducnost has completed its performance in the regular season of the MEVZA league, the volleyball players from Podgorica hope that the season in the regional competition is not over yet.
However, after tonight's defeat to the Austrian Zadruga in Bleiburg 3:0 (25:22, 25:16, 25:23), nothing is left in the hands of Dejan Radić's chosen team and they will have to "hit" the other results in order to qualify for the final four.
Buducnost finished the league season with two wins, four losses and seven points, currently third – in the “blue” zone, but Budva has two games to play and MAV Elora three. The Podgorica team needs to be better than both of these rivals and can only hope for their defeats.
In any case, there is still a chance, some kind of one.
Zadruga is one of the best teams in the MEVZA league, the only one from the regional competition that is still "alive" in Europe. It entered the game as a big favorite, so after Budva, it defeated the other Montenegrin representative with the maximum score.
The future, however, “pulled out” – in the first set, when it was 22:22, and in the third – even closer – when it was 23:23. On both occasions, the Austrians brought the sets to an end with mini-series (3:0 and 2:0) in the “Jugent and Family Guesthouse” hall.
In the second set, the home team roared – 25:16.
Marko Sinđelić was the most notable player for the "blues" with 12 points, Marko Vukašinović and Jovan Delić added six each. Jan Jirašek led the way for Zadruga with 11 points.
