Istanbul will be the home of top volleyball, the best in the world, for three years in a row.
As announced by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV), the Ulker Arena, home of Fenerbahçe, will host the final tournament (final four) of the Women's Volleyball Champions League in 2026 and 2027, with the possibility of the tournament being held in the famous hall even in 2028.
Ulker Arena hosted the best volleyball players in 2025, and guided by the great experience from the Final Four last season, and the partnership between CEV and Fenerbahçe Sports Club, the leaders of European volleyball decided to give full confidence to Istanbul.
"After last season's unforgettable Final Four in Istanbul, everything is set once again for world-class volleyball, top teams and an electric atmosphere for fans to enjoy both in the stands and around the world," the CEV said in a statement.
Four teams from Turkey play in the Women's Volleyball Champions League (Fenerbahçe, VakifBank, Ezaçıbaşı and Ankara Zeren Spor), and Turkish clubs have won eight of the last 14 editions of the elite European competition. VakifBank was the European champion in 2011, 2013, 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2023, Fenerbahçe celebrated in 2012, and Ezaçıbaşı in 2015.
“I am proud to announce a historic multi-year partnership between CEV and Fenerbahçe, in which the legendary Ulker Arena will host the best European women's volleyball teams in 2026 and 2027, with an option for 2028. I am grateful to Fenerbahçe and its leadership for their vision, ambition and commitment to providing fans across Europe and the world with an unforgettable F4 experience. The future of European volleyball is strong and continues to move forward!” said CEV President Roko Sikirić.
