Budva volleyball players failed to qualify for the final tournament of the MEVZA league.
The Montenegrin champion was defeated by Mursa 3:0 (29:27, 25:21 and 25:19) at the tournament in Zagreb and ended his debut appearance with two wins and four losses.
Miljan Bošković's team played their best in the opening set of the match at the "Bojan Strajnić" Sports Center, in which they managed to recover from a nine-point deficit and tie the game at 19:19.
Carried by that rhythm, she reached set points, leading 24:22, but that wasn't enough, nor were two more set points.
Mursa converted and took the lead 29:27.
Mursa continued to control the court. She won the second set 25:21, fending off Budva's attacks with mini-series, and the Croatian representative opened the third period with six consecutive points and finished the job with such a margin.
Once again, Lazar Dodić with 16 and Vukašin Cimbaljević with 11 points were the most efficient players for Budva, while captain Balša Radunović scored eight.
Mursa was led by Leo Andrić with 19 points.
There is still one match left in the Zagreb tournament between the hosts Mladost and the MAVE Elora team.
The volleyball players of Buducnost will be cheering against the team of their former teammate, Ivan Zvicer, because only a victory for Nikola Đurović's team will keep them in the game for the final tournament.
The Hungarian champion will have the opportunity to secure one of the four leading spots at the end of February, when they will play against the Austrian Zadar, which has won all five games.
