The Volleyball Federation of Montenegro will host the Balkan Championship for volleyball players under 18 (players born in 2009 and younger), and the championship will be held on June 25-29 this year, it was decided at today's 27th meeting. To the General Assembly of the Balkan Volleyball Association (BVA).
The assembly was held at the "Hills" hotel in Sarajevo, with the presence of representatives of 10 out of a total of 11 member countries of this zonal volleyball organization.
The Montenegrin Federation was represented in Sarajevo by President Nikola Kažić, Secretary General Ivan Bošković and Director of the Men's Selections Ivan Ječmenica.
The Assembly was officially opened by BVA President Milutin Popović, while the President of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) Roko Sikirić and the President of the Volleyball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Anita Glibić also addressed the attendees. Frane Žanić, President of the Croatian Volleyball Federation, was a special guest at the Assembly.
During the Assembly, Georgios Karampetsos from Greece was elected as the new president of the Balkan Volleyball Association, while Petar Jovanovski from North Macedonia was elected as vice president.
The Assembly also confirmed the dates and organizers of the Balkan Championships for 2026, noting that the final list of participants will be finalized by April 1, 2026. The next, 28th BVA General Assembly will be held in Greece.
