After the matches of the 18th round of the EPCG Women's Volleyball Super League, the final standings before the start of the playoffs have been announced, in which Jedinstvo will not be included, but will have to play a two-match playoff to stay in the top tier.
On the other hand, the Rudar team is returning to the First League.
The match that carried the most weight was played in Kotor, in which the Gymnasium team won a point against Morača and took eighth place in the standings. A more than exciting duel was played in the sports hall of the Kotor Gymnasium, 3:2 (26:24, 25:27, 29:27, 28:26, 15:11).
In a match that saw a four-set difference, the top scorer was Jelena Ćorović with 36 points, while Anastasija Krgović with 14 and Kristina Peraš with 11 points also scored in double figures. The winning team had four double-digit points - Darja Popović scored 26, Minja Mišević scored 16 points, Aleksandra Davidović had 12, and Itana Vukčević had 11.
By winning the fourth set, Gimnazijalac tied the number of wins and points with the Jedinstvo team, which had a better set ratio - 23:44 compared to 17:45.
Jedinstvo relied on a more certain victory over Morača, after being defeated at home by Herceg Novi 3:0 (25:7, 25:14, 25:15), so they will play in the play-offs once again.
With a shortened rotation, the champion arrived at SC "Nikoljac" and with only one libero on the bench, finished the job in less than an hour. Ana Tiemi Takagui and Brooke Dexter each had 11 points, Marija Bojić scored nine, Gordana Madžgalj had seven points, and Brenda Graf had one less point. For Jedinstvo, Maša Milošević scored eight points, while Nevena Brajković and Anđela Ćinćur scored four each.
Jedinstvo finished the league part of the championship with four wins, Herceg Novi with all 18. Marko Radusinović's team will play Gimnazija in the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
The other positions on the table were known even earlier.
The round opened with the derby between Albatros and Buducnost at SC "Igalo", in which the Podgorica team celebrated after a turnaround, 3:1 (22:25, 25:18, 25:23, 25:15).
In the 14th triumph of the blue and whites, Dijana Crnojački had the most points - 17. U18 national team member Elena Jovanović had 13, and Lana Rakočević 11 points. Three in double figures on the other side: Anđela Stojković with 12, Đurđe Nedeljković with 11 and Dženaj Varga with 10 points.
Buducnost secured third place, Albatros fourth, which means that the team from Podgorica will have a series with Mediteran, and Albatros with the Morača team.
Second place went to Luka Bar, who were maximal against Rudar 3:0 (25:15, 25:14, 25:10). It was Rudar's 18th defeat and Luka Bar's 15th victory, in which Natalija Vlaović was the most efficient with 16 points, Selma Muratović had 14, and Maša Dragojević and Magdalena Kuburović had 10 each. For Rudar, Livia Bueno was the best again, also with 10 points. Luka Bar awaits a series with Budva.
The round concluded with the Budva derby, in which Mediteran celebrated after a comeback as a guest at the Mediterranean Sports Center. It was 3:1 (17:25, 26:24, 26:24, 25:16) in a match in which a missed opportunity in the third set cost Budva a point.
Anastasija Kovačević was once again unstoppable, with 31 points, and Maša Ivančević scored 18 points for Predrag Ćorluka's team. On the other side, Elena Čolaković had 20 points, Jana Mrdak had 14, and Đina Lekić had 11.
The start of the playoffs is planned for the end of February and the beginning of March.
