The regular session of the Assembly of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro was held on Sunday, March 15th at the "VOCO" hotel in Podgorica.

The session was attended by 27 out of 32 delegates, and was chaired by Milan Franović, President of the Assembly of the Montenegrin Armed Forces.

In his address to the delegates, OSCG President Nikola Kažić, while explaining the OSCG work report for the period June 2025 - February 2026, emphasized that the previous year would remain inscribed in the pages of the history of Montenegrin volleyball for its many achievements, and in terms of results, with two placements at the European Championships and one medal from the Balkan Championship, as the most successful so far.

"For eighteen years, no women's team managed to qualify for the European Championship through the qualifiers, and then in five months we managed to do it twice. The U16 national team was the first to do so, and after that achieved the best result ever by a Montenegrin team at the European Championship, taking 9th place. The team, which defeated Serbia, Turkey, Greece, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Slovakia and others during the qualifiers and the European Championship itself, showed enviable quality and potential and gave everyone the impetus to work even harder and better on creating the next generations. The bronze medal at the Balkan Championship is just an additional indicator of the quality of this generation."

Kažić pointed out that a great success and the biggest thing happened in August when our women's senior national team managed to qualify for a major competition for the first time.

"Two convincing victories and first place in the group secured the long-awaited and desired placement at the European Championship, so in August in Gothenburg we will be part of the elite, in the company of the best national teams in Europe."

The President of our Federation also pointed out that on the domestic stage we had a great final of the Montenegrin Cup in Budva, with a full hall and excellent matches, with many renowned guests from European volleyball.

"What is particularly important and the biggest thing that has happened is securing the first appearances of our clubs in the regional Mevza League."

Kažić added that in addition, after many years, Montenegro also had three representatives in European competitions, as well as a club that competed in the Balkan Cup.

"All of the above are the joint successes of all of us, every coach, volleyball worker, every club - together with the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro. Thank you for your understanding, excellent relations and joint work," said Nikola Kažić, President of the OSCG.

He also said that the OSCG has provided support to talented volleyball players this year, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports, it has signed eight contracts on scholarships for promising athletes.

"All this points to an extremely dynamic, demanding, but also successful year behind us, and that is why I would like to congratulate all clubs on their exceptional contribution to the results, organizations and overall atmosphere that has recently made volleyball the fastest growing sport in Montenegro," concluded Kažić, and his work report with financial and audit reports, as well as the annual work plan and program activities, were adopted unanimously.

The Assembly also adopted amendments to the Rules of Arbitration and appointed Marko Hajduković as a new member of the Arbitration Commission of the OSCG, who will replace the current member Nikolina Kažić, who has held this position since 2018 and whom the OSCG would like to thank for her contribution to the work of the Arbitration Commission so far.

After the Assembly ended, the delegates attended the final matches of the Montenegrin Cup for men and women's volleyball teams, which took place in the "Verde" hall.
