The Volleyball Association of Montenegro (OSCG) has signed scholarship contracts with four talented volleyball players, giving them an additional boost to advance their careers, writes odbojka.me.

President Nikola Kažić signed contracts until the end of 2026 at the premises of the OSCG with the U18 national team players - Elena Jovanović, Klara Đukić, Anastasija Koprivica, Elena Čolaković, Vuk Stanojević, Aleksa Radić, Mihajlo Grupković and Mirza Mujović.

Elena Jovanović, Klara Đukić and Anastasija Koprivica are members of the senior team of Budućnost Podgorica, which recently won the Montenegrin Cup.

Elena and Klara were participants in the European U16 Championship and bronze medalists at the U16 Balkan Championship in Pljevlja.

Last season, Jovanović was the best serve receiver in the Montenegrin junior championship, and Klara Đukić was the MVP of the cadet championship.

Anastasija Koprivica has been a member of the Podgorica team since this season, having arrived from Morača as the team's best striker. Like her teammates, she is a member of the U18 national team, and last summer she was on the wider list of the senior national team.

Elena Čolaković plays for the first team of Budva and is one of the team's top scorers. She is also a member of the Montenegrin cadet national team.

Vuk Stanojević is the captain of the U18 national team of Montenegro, whose members include other scholarship holders. Stanojević has been a significant member of the Budva first team for several seasons, contributing 11 points to their recent Cup win.

At 16 years, seven months and four days, he is the youngest debutant in the history of the senior national team of Montenegro. In 2025, Stanojević was named the most promising volleyball player in Montenegro.

Aleksa Radić, a first-team player for Buducnost, won the Super Cup with the Podgorica team this season and played in the Cup final. He was selected among the most promising athletes in Podgorica in 2025.

Mihajlo Grupković is a volleyball player for Mornar, one of the most talented members of the Bar team and also one of the most promising athletes in Bar.

Mirza Mujović is a libero for the U18 national team and the hope of Jedinstvo. His talent is also appreciated by the municipality of Bijelo Polje, which awarded him the award for the most promising player in the city in 2025.

Funds for scholarships were provided through co-financing by the Ministry of Sports and Youth of the Government of Montenegro.

The President of the OSCG Nikola Kažić wished all the scholarship recipients good luck and said that they will always have support in their volleyball house.

"By signing scholarship contracts, we continue to support our most promising volleyball players this year as well. Scholarships are certainly a kind of reward for these girls and boys for everything they have shown in the previous period, and considering that all eight of them are now preparing for the U18 national team for the European Championship qualifiers, it speaks volumes about their quality and prospects. I am sure that this will be an additional motivation for their further development and progress, and we will continue to improve the conditions for their work and playing volleyball," said Kažić.

All eight young scholarship recipients are expected to take part in action this month - the volleyball men will play against Israel, Croatia and France in Podgorica for a place at the U18 European Championship, for which the volleyball women will compete with Belgium, Slovenia and Slovakia in Maribor.
