Saška Đurović wins Portuguese championship title

Porto volleyball team did not allow any surprises in the final of the Portuguese championship. They defeated Braga team in the third and fourth matches with 3:0 and returned to the throne. Our middle blocker Saška Đurović gave her mark to the fifth title of the blue and whites as she was one of the best players in the league.

After Braga managed to tie the match at 1:1, Porto left nothing to chance. In the third game at home with a 3:0 (25:14, 25:16, 29:27) they took the lead in the series again, which they concluded with a triumph in Braga also 3:0 (25:20, 27:25, 25:22) with excellent performances from Đurović. The Montenegrin national team player had as many as 15 points in the third game, as many as 10 from blocks and two aces and was the most efficient in the match along with Natalija Murek, and in the decisive game she won eight points, three of which were after serving.

Saška thus finished the season third in the number of points from the block – she had 88, more than her only teammate Kelsey Feltman and Kairos member Alejandro Piron. The young player from Podgorica was also fifth in the percentage of successful attacks – she finished the season with a success rate of 51%.

Porto's phenomenal season was crowned with a double crown, as they also won the Cup, which is Saška's second Cup trophy in her career, after her success with Sporting last season. The season before, she won the Serbian Super League title with TENT.
