Caković after Slovenia: Against teams like this, we shouldn't look for victories and points, but lessons and progress

The Montenegrin women's volleyball team was defeated by Slovenia (3:0) last night in Bar at the start of the European League.

The Slovenian women were too strong for our national team, which will look for a chance for its first victory in the upcoming matches.

"Slovenia is a team with a large rotation, with many good players. They play at a higher level than us. Whether we will reach that level of volleyball - I don't know. I'm happy with the reaction, we were tied halfway through all three sets, and then they kicked things into gear. There were some nice moments. Against teams like this, we shouldn't be looking for victories and points, but lessons and progress," said coach Jovo Caković after the match.

Montenegro plays against Georgia tomorrow (19) in Bar.

"Georgia should be an easier opponent, if we ask ourselves that. All those who get a chance should fight. We cannot reach the goal with a casual approach, we need responsibility and discipline in order to achieve victory," Caković emphasized.

Sixteen-year-old technician Nađa Peković made her debut for our country's senior national team.

"It's a great honor to make my debut for the senior national team. Slovenia is a quality and experienced team. I think we put up a good fight. I hope we will play even better against Georgia," said Peković.
