The Montenegrin women's volleyball team will play matches of the second European League tournament in the Romanian city of Blaž this weekend.
Jovo Caković's team broke the ice with a victory over Georgia in Bar, after an initial defeat to Slovenia, and are looking for a new chance in Romania.
Saša Đurović and her teammates will meet Albania tomorrow (3:30 PM), while a match against Romania is scheduled for the same time on Sunday.
Caković took 14 players on the trip. Corrector Nikoleta Perović will not be in the running for the team, as she was granted a reprieve after a tough club season in order to be as prepared as possible for the European Championship.
It consists of:
Technicians: Nadja Pekovic, Marija Susic, Kristina Vukcevic;
Proofreaders: Dijana Vuković and Anastasija Koprivica;
Service recipients: Simona Petranović, Teodora Čavić, Darja Popović and Lara Jovović;
Middle blockers: Saška Đurović, Mina Dragović and Lana Rakočević;
Free: Melisa Cenović and Milica Veličković.
The Reds will face their first official match against Albania, who lost to Switzerland and Finland without winning a set, while Romania is in a group of eight teams that have two wins each.
Romania was Montenegro's rival in the 2017 European Championship qualifiers, when both teams achieved a victory, and in the second phase of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, Romania was better 3:0.
