After almost a month of preparations in Kolašin, the Montenegrin women's volleyball team will have their first form tests.
Coach Jovo Caković's team is set to play matches against the Austrian national team, which has arrived in Montenegro to also prepare as best as possible for the upcoming European Championship.
Our girls will play a closed training match on Friday, and on Saturday, at 15 pm, they will meet in an official friendly match.
Coach Caković said that the result will be secondary, and that the focus will be on the team's approach and checking the condition of the volleyball players.
"In general, I am satisfied with the preparations so far. The games we will play with Austria on Friday and Saturday will show us an overview of what we have done so far and what we need to do in the coming period until the next friendly matches and the European Championship. I want us to show a good attitude, to show good discipline and to see how many players we have in the rotation before the European Championship," said Caković.
The dress rehearsal is planned for August 13th and 14th, when the rivals, also in Kolašin, will be the volleyball team of Portugal.
Our team will travel to Gothenburg on August 18th, where they will play hosts Sweden, Italy, France, Slovakia and Croatia.
Head coach Caković shortened the list of players before the matches (Anastasija Koprivica, Elena Jovanović and Elena Čolaković), so the squad for the matches with Austria will be:
