The young water polo national team (players born in 1995 and younger) experienced a debacle in a match that was supposed to be a derby for first place in Group C.
Mirko Vičević's team was defeated by a nine-goal margin (12:3), so they will have to go through a play-off to reach the quarter-finals - their rival tomorrow will be Turkey, the third-ranked team from Group A.
As the result shows, the "sharks" did not question anything, they lost 9:0, and in the second half, if nothing else, they prevented the debacle from being complete and the defeat by a double-digit margin.
Montenegro beat France and Germany in the first two rounds.
