Pro Reko should be a European superpower again next season, and the first desire of the club from Genoa is the Montenegrin representative Aleksandar Ivović, "Vijesti" has learned.
There are contacts, the transfer is also realistic, so Ivović could very soon return to the club where he played for two seasons before moving to Dubrovnik Jug last summer.
The popular Leka, like all the stars, decided to leave Reka last summer because the main financier Gabriele Volpi left the club together with his sons.
Now, however, everything is ready for Volpi's return to Liguria, so Ivovic's indisputable quality is the right thing to start the championship dreams of the seven-time European champion.
This summer, Ivović signed a contract with Jugo for the season with an option to extend it for another 12 months.
This season, the Montenegrin representative was one of the best players of the club from Gruž, with which he won the Croatian championship. However, that was the only trophy of Jug - Primorje from Rijeka took the Cup and the Adriatic League, and Crvena zvezda won the Champions League, a competition that was the priority of the "Jugs" in the season when they probably had the strongest team in the club's history.
That Volpi wants to create a powerful Pro Reko is also said by information from Italy that, in addition to Ivović, Sandro Sukno from Primorje will also arrive, as well as Filip Filipović, who played for Radnički this season.
