According to many, the best defender on the planet, Aleksandar Ivović, won the third place on the list of the best water polo player in 2012 in the selection of the European Federation of Water Sports.
Crnogorski ace, a member of Dubrovnik Jug since this season, received the same number of votes as Stefano Tempesti - the popular Leka and, according to many, the best goalkeeper on the planet, received 13,3 percent of the votes of European federations.
Miho Bošković was chosen as the best player last year with 36,7 votes), while the second place was taken by his teammate from the national team Josip Pavić (25 percent). Fifth place on the list is Andrija Prlainović with 11,7 percent of votes.
Bošković, who returned from Vašaš to the South this summer, was also the best water polo player in Europe in 2007. In 2012, this water polo player won the Olympic gold with the "barracudas", as well as the World League.
After the Games in London, Bošković temporarily left the national team (justifying the decision with fatigue), which caused outrage among the Croatian public, as well as the head of the local Water Polo Association.
