As "Vijesti" announced, Aleksandar Ivović will be a member of Dubrovnik Jug for the next two years.
As the president of Jug, Ivo Pavličević, pointed out, this is a big player boost.
"With his arrival, Jug this season has a team that can match all opponents both in Croatia and in the Champions League," Pavličević pointed out.
Along with the representative of Montenegro, Toni Azevedo arrived in Gruž, who already played in Dubrovnik a few years ago. Miho Bošković also returned from Hungary.
"I was at the negotiations yesterday, and this morning I officially agreed on cooperation with the South by phone," Ivović told "Vijesti".
The popular Leka is, logically, satisfied with the choice.
"I'm overjoyed, Jug is an institution in this sport, along with Pro Reko, probably the biggest club on the planet. Our ambitions coincided, I'll be close to home and I'm sure I made the right decision," Ivović said.
Paulo Obradović and goalkeeper Frano Vićan left Jug, who strengthened Rijeka's Primorje, where their teammate will be Sandro Sukno, who left Jug for Pro Reko last summer.
"By bringing in Ivović, the management reacted exceptionally well, because he is the most complete player today. In that way, the departure of Sandro Sukno to Primorje was replaced," said Jug coach Veselin Đuho.
Those words of the former head of the coaching staff of Budva best describe the situation with Sukno - the most talented player in the world had a clause in his contract that in the event of his departure from Pro Rek, he could not strengthen the competitor Jug, who was expecting him.
Sukno, however, decided to go to Primorje, and his move stirred up passions in Dubrovnik and even led to a physical confrontation in the administration of the grandees from Gruž.
