Mlađan Janović is the best player of the past Italian water polo championship in the traditional choice of visitors to the Italian water polo site "Waterpolo development world". The Montenegrin representative and Savona player received 98 votes from visitors to this site, five more than the second-placed Pro Reko player Stefan Tempesti, while the third place was taken by another Montenegrin representative, Aleksandar Ivović (Pro Reko) with 83 votes. Boris Zloković (Pro Reko) with 41 votes is among the top ten in this selection.
In the vote of coaches, players and journalists on this portal, Janović took second place with nine votes, two less than Stefan Tempesti, while Ivović and Zloković shared third place with eight votes. In the same election, Ivović was chosen as the best foreigner in the past season with 20 votes, ahead of Janović (16) and Zloković (9).
Pro Reko is, of course, the team of the year, the coach of the same team, Pino Porcio, is the best coach...
"I have to admit that I was surprised by this choice, which represents the crown of my season this year, in which I won the LEN Cup with Savona, and in the final of the Italian championship we lost 2:1 in duels with Pro Reka, which means that we are currently the only team that has defeated the Italian champion this season," said Mlađan Janović for the website of the Water Polo Association of Montenegro.
Janović has been in Igalo for ten days, where a team of doctors is trying to repair an unpleasant meniscus injury.
"I was in terrible pain and could not move my leg. Fortunately, the condition is getting better and I believe that I will soon make myself available to coach Porobić and be fully ready to give my best with my teammates and in a cap with the national coat of arms. Unfortunately, I have to emphasize that, while I'm being treated, all kinds of rumors are spreading about the alleged avoidance of my obligations towards the national team. But I have many friends in Igalo who meet me every day during rehabilitation," added Janović.
