Budva M:tel water polo players tomorrow against Jug

Budva M:tel could not get a more difficult opponent in the play-off for the place in the final four if you look at the quality, but also the tradition of the duel with Jug in the last three years since the regional league has been played. Namely, Jug never allowed a setback against Budva, so it is clear that the Croatian team does not lie to the Montenegrin representative.

- Jug is the favorite and it is hard to say how much we can provide at this moment. The team is exhausted, this week we worked exclusively on physical training, in order for the players to recover from the difficult schedule they had in the past period. We are not in competitive shape, but this is no alibi, the fact is that Jug is the favorite, and we will do everything to play as well as possible. The question, however, is how much we can do, because we will play without Nikola Vukčević, who has a fracture on his right thumb - said the coach Veselin Krivokapić and underlined that the performance of Petar Trbojević is also questionable.

In any case, Budva will have a much bigger obligation in the second leg, which will be played on March 12 in Budva.

- We will do our best to eventually win the master. For us, however, the most important match is against Jadran in the Euroleague, which will be played on Wednesday, and the meeting in Dubrovnik is a preparation for the match with Novljani. We will definitely try to take advantage of every chance we get against the South - said Krivokapić.

Everything is known about Jug, the qualities of the Croatian giant have long been told. And Budva are the strength of Elvis Fatović's team felt twenty days ago in the Euroleague, when the people of Dubrovnik won in Gruž with 10:6.

- In that match, we showed two faces, we had that drop in the last quarter, which was fair to some extent, because we had a large number of exclusions. Jug is strong and experienced enough to take advantage of every opportunity that presents itself, although I think that defeat by four goals was unrealistic - said the coach of Budva.
