The young water polo team is finishing the first part of the preparations for the World Championship, which will be held from December 12 to 20 in Kuwait.
Veljko Uskoković's team will have their last training session tonight in Nikšić, and on Monday they will go to Varaždin, where they will spar with the Croatian national team.
At the World Championship, our water polo players will participate in group C with the host, the United States of America, Italy and Iran.
"The players are in enviable shape, but a certain amount of fatigue is also noticeable. We try to rest and refresh them through these trainings as well. As always, we are going for the best possible result in major competitions. It is difficult to predict something because there are exceptional teams. Greece and Spain are especially strong, it is unnecessary to talk about the quality of the Croats, Serbs and Hungarians, the Italians are announcing they are going for the gold, so we expect an extremely strong competition. We are timing the form for the group, because we want to win the best possible position before the elimination phase", says Uskoković.
The winners of the four groups will advance directly to the quarterfinals, while the second- and third-placed teams will play for placement among the top eight.
Serbia, Japan, South Africa, Croatia and China are in group UA, group B consists of Argentina, Canada, Spain, Hungary and Egypt, while in group D Brazil, Greece, Australia, New Zealand and Uzbekistan will play.
