Another sports competition in Montenegro was interrupted.
The Water Polo and Swimming Association of Montenegro made a decision at the meeting of the Board of Directors, based on the statements of all clubs from the Professional Council, and taking into account the current circumstances, that the senior championship of Montenegro in water polo for the competition season 2019/20. does not continue.
The champion of Montenegro will not be declared, but the Board of Directors stated that, according to the achieved ranking of clubs from Montenegro in the Regional League, the most successful ranked club is Jadran Carine.
The championships for six younger categories, in the tournament system, will be held during July, and the tournaments for the Cup of Montenegro for younger categories will be played during August.
The Water Polo and Swimming Federation of Montenegro will help all clubs financially.
To help alleviate the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, an amount of 50.000 thousand euros has been allocated, which will be distributed according to established criteria, until June 30.
The Board of Directors of VPSCG considered and adopted the plan for the preparation of all national selections that will take place during this summer.
Also, it was agreed to plan to hold the MNE OPEN international swimming meeting during the month of August.
