The election session of the Assembly of Water Polo and the Swimming Association of Montenegro will be held on May 15 in Podgorica, announced the VPSCG.
"The central point of the agenda is the election of the president of VPSCG and, on his proposal, members of the Board of Directors of VPSCG, whose mandate will be until the end of 2024," according to the official website.
The candidates for the post of president are Đuro Marić and Mirko Vičević, and the Electoral Assembly that was held on March 31 was interrupted.
At that time, the delegates from Primorje complained that the VPSCG Statute was not respected and demanded that the session be postponed.
The largest clubs Primorac and Jadran have three representatives each at the assembly - that is, three votes - and Budvanska Riviera and Kataro have two each.
All other clubs are "worth" one vote each - Budućnost and Verde (from Podgorica), Baterflaj from Nikšić and Nikšić, and Stari grad and Orka from Budva.
Vičević or Marić will be the third president of the Water Polo and Swimming Association of Montenegro, after Srđan Kovačević was at the helm from 2006 to 2016, and Dejan Bajić from 2016 to 2020.
