Montenegrin water polo players had a few days of rest after returning from the final World League tournament and winning the title in Tblisi, now it's time for the final stage of preparations for the Olympic Games.
"Ajkule" are in Nikšić from today, after that they will train in Podgorica for a few days, from where they will go to Tokyo on July 15.
Our selection is still not complete, the question is whether it will be ready to go, because goalkeeper Dejan Lazović and left-handed Đuro Radović still have problems with injuries.
Their participation in the OI is under a big question mark.
"For now, everything is going according to plan except for Dejan Lazović's hand injury, while Đuro Radović has returned to light training after a back injury. The situation with them is not good. They have remained healthy and I hope they will stay that way," said coach Vladimir Gojković and added :
"We gave the players as much time as possible to rest and recover after a tiring period. I hope that we will implement everything planned. The goal is to renew our strength and travel to the Olympic Games in the strongest possible squad," said Gojković.
