And she did it with a convincing edition - she advanced to the semi-finals with a 17:5 victory over the United States of America.
Already in the first eight minutes, our selection scored six goals, they led 6:2, and they continued their excellent attacking rhythm in the second part - so they had a 10:3 lead at the break.
Therefore, the winner was known after 16 minutes of the game, so the selector Miodrag Mirović was able to allocate minutes to the holders of the game.
Jovan Vujović shook the "Yankees" net five times from six attempts, Danilo Radović and Vuk Drašković scored three goals each, and Marko Mršić and Đorđije Stanojević scored two each.
Miroslav Perković and Vasilije Radović also enrolled.
"It started hard, but as the match progressed we got better and better, played our actions the way we wanted and reached the semifinals in a powerful way," said Perković.
The semi-finals are already tomorrow - the rival at 19.30:11 is Italy, which defeated Spain (9:XNUMX) in the quarter-finals.
"Italy is a good team, but it's a bit of a surprise for me that they beat Spain. If we play as we know how, I think we're close to the final," added Perković.
The second semi-final pair (18:XNUMX) consists of Serbia and Hungary.
Serbia was better than Croatia (12:10), while the Hungarians eliminated the Greeks - 11:9.
