Water polo players from Budva defeated Kataro 8:7 today in the third match of the first semi-final tournament of the Cup of Montenegro for water polo players.
Budva took the lead at the start with a goal by Petr Ćetković, and then Kataro turned it around, had a two-goal advantage (4:2) and maintained the lead until the last quarter.
In the 4th quarter, Budva achieved a turnaround and took the lead (6:5) after a goal by Stefan Kovačević, and then a two-goal advantage (8:6).
The finish was exciting - Kataro reduced the score to 8:7, then Marko Mršić had a five-pointer to equalize, but his shot was saved by Budva goalkeeper Milija Mandić. Budva goalkeeper had 12 saves.
In Budva, Kovačević was the most effective with five goals. On the other side, Mršić and Marko Milić each scored two goals.
Budva finished the first tournament with one win and two losses, Kataro lost all three matches.
The second semi-final tournament will be played in Kotor from December 13 to 15.
