The Water Polo and Swimming Association of Montenegro has chosen the best in 2021 by the decisions of expert councils for water polo and swimming, in which the series of winning medals from major competitions continued.
Our water polo players are winners of the World League, they played at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, while the U20 team won bronze at the World Championship.
New recognitions also arrived from the biggest address, from the Montenegrin Olympic Committee for the most successful team and the best young athlete. Our best swimmers participated in the Olympic Games, as well as the European and World Championships.
The best water polo player in 2021 is Aleksandar Ivović. He led the "sharks" to the 1st place in the qualification for the Olympic Games in Rotterdam, with Montenegro he won gold in the World League, while he took 8th place at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. He was the champion of Europe with his club Pro Rek.
The best young water polo player is Miroslav Perković. He was a member in all the actions of the "Sharks", and as captain with the U20 selection, he won bronze at the World Championship in Prague.
The best swimmer in 2021 is Anđela Antunović, who participated in the Olympic Games in Tokyo, the European Championships in small pools in Kazan, as well as the World Championships in Abu Dhabi.
The best swimmer is Boško Radulović, who competed at the Olympic Games and the European Championships in Budapest.
The best club is Jadran from Herzegovina, which won the double crown and was among the top 12 in the Champions League.
In the junior water polo categories, it won the national championships in four age categories, and in the Cup it achieved the best overall results, which makes it the most successful club for the younger categories as well. Team champion of Montenegro in swimming.
Due to the current measures and the epidemiological situation, the VPSCG will not organize an award ceremony, but the awards will be presented to the laureates at water polo and swimming events at the beginning of next year.
