Match number four in the final series of the playoffs, the 12th match of the season in total, could in theory be the last that the Jadran and Primorje water polo players will play in this campaign.
But the mood in Kotor is such that no one wants to even think about a failure that would mean the definitive end of championship dreams.
Therefore, Primorac is under pressure before the duel that is scheduled for tomorrow at 19:XNUMX, because there is no way to make amends after Novlja defended the home pool twice in the first three matches of the final.
Jadran won quite easily in both matches in Novi, Primorac got revenge in the same way in the pool "Zoran Džimi Gopčević".
He wants and has to do it one more time. And to move the tension to Skver...
"There is not much room for calculations, we have to be much better than in the previous game if we want to stay in the game for the title. We are the hosts, I believe we will use that advantage and win the championship. And then everything would be possible," said the young forward Primorka Marko Mršić.
The second match in Kotor and the second half of the third match in Novi are the path that Ranko Perović's young team should follow.
"The defense must be at the highest level, from the first to the last moment. Just as it was the case in the second match, in which we deservedly celebrated. I believe that the series is not over yet, I expect a triumph," said Mršić.
He started the season in the cap of Qatar, later strengthened Primorac and got a chance to fight for trophies.
"In matches like this, desire can also prevail. The one who wants the triumph more will get it. The teams are equal when it comes to quality, but it is necessary to be more aggressive than we were in some earlier duels. And support from the stands is an important factor, I know that she will not be absent. And it's up to us to use that in the right way and win the fifth match," said Mršić.
In Jadran, they want the series to end tomorrow at the pool of their biggest rival.
"If we don't impose the rhythm we want, then there is nothing to look for in Kotor. And if the head is calm, then it is easier to put tactical ideas into action, therefore we would be close to the goal," said Jadran coach Petar Radanović.
But the road to the trophy is long and complicated.
"In the first match of the final, out of a total of 11 duels this season, we oscillated the least. The question is whether it is realistic to repeat something like that, but we will try to reduce mistakes to a minimum. Focus is the most important, it is the key to this match and the entire final," concluded Radanović.
The eventual champion would be played on Tuesday in Herceg Novi.
