According to Dušan Matković, Montenegrin water polo players are currently separated from the best teams in the world by a lack of experience.

A day after the defeat against Spain and a day before the duel with Serbia, "the Sharks know that they missed a great chance to reach the semi-finals.

"There was a lot and a little missing, that late goal seemed unattainable. In general, however, we can be satisfied with the game. We opened it quite well, we fought until the end, after all we had to lend a hand to a team that is better than us in at this moment," said Matkovic.

Time is an ally of the Montenegrin national team.

"I think that not only the match with the Spaniards showed that we are close to the best selections. Some previous editions also proved it. We lack experience and in the coming period we could be completely competitive".

"It is difficult to say who is the favorite. Whoever is in the best mood will win. Fifth place would be satisfaction for what we have done. It is not the same to be fifth or eighth, two victories to the end would be the right way to end the championship," said Matković.
