Montenegrin water polo players will play the Super Final of the World League in Strasbourg, instead of Brazil.
The Super Final is scheduled from July 22 to 27.
The Brazilian national team withdrew from the competition of the eight best national teams, and since the "sharks" were fourth in Podgorica at the qualifying tournament, they got the opportunity to fight for a new trophy in that competition.
Montenegro will play in group 1 with Serbia, Spain and Australia. Group 2 includes Italy, France, USA and Canada.
At the start of the competition, on July 22, Vladimir Gojković's team will play Serbia (16 p.m.), a day later the rival Australia (14 p.m.), while Montenegro will play against Spain on July 24 (14 p.m.). The quarter-final matches are scheduled for a day later, while the qualifying matches will be played on July 27.
Vladimir Gojković's team is defending the gold in the World League won last year in Tbilisi. "Sharks" have two more golds, a silver and a bronze from this competition.
From August 27 to September 10, Montenegro is expecting the European Championship in Split. At the recently concluded World Championship in Budapest, the "sharks" won eighth place.
