Croatia played in the 2nd half and convincingly defeated Malta

The first round of the European Championship for water polo players in Split ended with the victory of the home team.

Croatia easily defeated Malta tonight in the "Spaladium Arena" - 19:5 (2:0, 3:1, 7:2, 7:2).

In the first half, the "Barracudas" conceded only one goal and scored five goals, but in the second half the attack was fully played out. Seven goals each in the third and fourth quarters was more than enough for a convincing victory.

Loren Fatović was the most effective for the hosts with five goals. Jerko Marinić-Kragić scored four, and Rino Burić three.
