Čučković: We showed a better game and greater togetherness, I hope that it will pay off for us in the future

The water polo players of Montenegro lost a match in which they had a convincing advantage, which they controlled for more than three quarters... It is difficult to find positive things after such a defeat, but the most experienced in our selection, Uroš Čučković, stood by his younger teammates.

"I can say that I am proud of the team - how we opened the game and how we held on the whole time. The result was ultimately in favor of Serbia, but I repeat that I can be proud of the boys - and for the game, fight and faith until the end," said Čučković from Fukuoka.

Defeat against Serbia will most likely send the "sharks" to the European champions, Croatia.

"This time it prevailed in favor of Serbia, but I think we showed a better game and greater togetherness. I hope that all this will pay off for us sometime in the future," Čučković concluded.
