Placement in the Champions League through a strong qualifying group was not realistic, so Kotorani will seek placement in the Eurocup starting tomorrow (Thursday) at their pool.
The water polo players of Primorje will open the qualification for the weaker LEN competition tomorrow from 18:XNUMX against Panathinaikos, and then until Sunday they will chase one of the first two places leading to the Eurocup in duels with Hannover, Spanish Teras and another Greek club Peristeri.
"The group is demanding with experienced teams, but I think we have a chance to play with everyone and win a place among the first two teams, i.e. passage to the group stage of the Eurocup, which would be a nice result for this team," said Vido Lompar, assistant in the professional Zoran Maslovar's headquarters.
The home field could be crucial in the fight for the Eurocup.
"We are the hosts, which in a way is good for us, I hope that with the support of the Kotor audience and fans, we will play a good tournament," Lompar added to Radio Kotor.
About the rivals in Kotor, Lampar says...
"Hanover has four experienced Croatian internationals plus there are German players. The two Greek teams have undergone changes in their lineups, but they are always difficult. Terasa is a young, energetic team, which nurtures classic Spanish water polo with a lot of swimming," explained Lompar.
