The premier tournament of "Olympic Hopes" was held on Korčula, and it took place in the spirit of Budva's young water polo players.
The cadets of that club rounded off their triumph at the tournament with a victory over Cavtat (11:8) in the final. Before that, Budva was better in the group stage than Jadran (8:6), Korčula (16:11) and Nikšić (19:6), while its talent Matija Franet was declared the best player of the tournament.
The match for 3rd place was brought about by a clash in Bokele in which Primorac was better than Jadran from Herceg Novi 11:10.
In the group, Kotor defeated Jug (12:10), Aquatic Verde from Podgorica (13:5), and they played to a draw with Cavtat (12:12), so due to the lower goal difference, they won second place and played for bronze.
After defeating Budva, Jadran defeated Korčula (17:8) and Nikšić (22:9).
In the match for the seventh position, Aquatic Verde was better than Nikšić 9:5.
"Olympic Hopes" is a competition organized by clubs from Montenegro and Dubrovnik-Neretva County, with the aim of raising the quality of water polo and getting to know each other and connecting.
